blog

thats the place where we will share a couple of pictures from our trips to the building site.

2023 - one year later Binck City Park is grown enormously and we are able to visit various phases of the building process. Next to concrete casting, prefab elements we also see the different phases of the drywall systems and had a lok at the showroom - this is the place where the client is able to compare the different qualities and products for the walls and doors for instance

We write 2022 ...Sometimes we just have luck, in this case we visited a huge building site in super sunny weather - so a perfect golden autumn day. VORM invited us to the start of Binck City Park in The Hague, where almost 1000 apartments will be build. We got the opportunity to come down to the pit to see all stages of the foundations of the first building phase. So we were able to see piles to be prepared, rebar to be placed, castings set and concrete poured next to already finished concrete beams that are out of their casts ... so a perfect day to learn from the masters and experts from VORM Bouw.

After a longer break due to the pandemic we finally were able to grab our cameras and head out to discover the magic of a building site again. This time we visited the building site of the Martinus Nijhoflaan in Delft. This second stage of the project which was started with a shop and retail building is now completed with a residential high rise with 260 apartments. From the 4th floor on the tower will be build with prefab elements, but the base was casted in concrete on site. So a perfect opportunity for us to take a look. It was a great day and we had a wonderful support from the team of  VORM !

This time we went to Amsterdam again - last time we visited the Bold from VORM bouw and have seen how they manage to set up a construction site on a difficult location and how they started the foundations. Today in autumn of 2019 the building site is already impressive and the tower reached 9th floor of the entire 22 floors. We have seen the Tunnel casting system and were able to get a deeper view into the building process.

For the second time we took our cameras and head towards the building site ! While VORM offered a long list of project all across the country the students have chosen Amsterdam again, with the BOLD and the STATE we were able to see two different phases of building sites. BOLD at Amsterdam north just finished the foundation piles and the team started to pour the concrete foundation plates. Within a tight building site next to an already finished school and a huge project on the other side we had the opportunity to come close to the activities that will be hidden later for good. Interesting to see how the foundation piles, the geothermic wells and the old foundations of the former buildings had to be lines up and even Marcel hadn't seen 60 meter long foundation piles that are rammed into the ground in two stacked elements.

For lunch we moved to the STATE the residential tower in the east of Amsterdam we had already visited last year. The concrete casting activities were nearly done and the lower parts of the building was short before completion. Having an 80 meter high tower we all wanted to go up as high as possible and with a quick ride in the external facade lift it was rapidly done - a ladder further up we were standing on top of the penthouse and wondering how life would be swimming in the pool on top of the city ...

it was a great day, we have seen a lot and we are curious to see the movies the students will make afterwards. Thanks to the project leaders from VORM to make it happen and their hospitality.

In 2017 we visited VORMs building site on the Houthaven and the highrise residential project STATE, have a look and get an insight of our day on the building site.
